2004 - Tic Tac Incident

Compiled 9/21/2020

November 10,2004. Navy pilot David Fravor was patrolling the Pacific Ocean off the coast of San Diego. An object had been tracked for the past 2 weeks by the USS Nimitz. David Fravor observed a flying object that resembled a white Tic Tac candy in the sky. The object would show up at 80,000 feet and quickly fall to about 20,000 feet above the ocean surface and hover. Then go back into the sky at a high rate of speed.

The F-18 Super Horner FLIR footage is available below.

After landing, Mr Fravor told radar operators, but something had jammed the radar.

After talking about Top Gun and the Navy, Mr Fravor goes into great detail with Lex Fridman on youtube
